Sell a Super Food Shake - Shakeology

Learn about how when you become a Team Beachbody Coach you can start selling one of the best superfood shakes on the market!

Shakeology retails for $120, so the 25% commission is the same as a P90x workout, at $30. But when a customer reorders the following month, the Coach will earn another $30 commission. Shakeology is the product that can make Beachbody Coaches a lot of money because it is a consumable product, which means the customers uses it up, then reorders more. (This is an important concept to understand, as Beachbody Coach, acquiring a Shakeology customer will be more more valuable to you over time than a customer that just wants to order one workout, one time.)

What is great about the Beachbody Coach compensation plan is that there are no quotas to meet in order to be able to qualify to receive commissions on retail sales. A Coach will always earn a 25% commission on any sales that they make. This usually isn’t the case with other home based businesses. Typically a distributor will start out in a lower commission percentile range, say 10% for example, and then their percentage will move up as they sell more volume. With Beachbody’s compensation plan, it doesn’t matter if you sell 1 Shakeology, or 100 Shakeologies, the commission is still 25%.

Team Beachbody Coach Melanie Mitro: Rising to the Challenge Success Story

Three-year-old Landon and one-year-old Bryce are the two little boys that light up Melanie Mitro's life each and every day. But when it came to losing the baby weight from her second pregnancy, her outlook wasn't so bright.

"I was miserable, just sitting on my couch, eating celery, complaining on Facebook®, when out of nowhere an old college friend wrote me and invited me to join a Beachbody® Challenge Group. That message changed my life." As a stay-at-home mom, Melanie couldn't afford the expense of a gym, let alone the time away from home. So while the boys napped, she would sneak down to the basement to take on her INSANITY® workout. "I finished the whole 60-day program, and lost 12 pounds."

Proud of what she achieved, Melanie posted her impressive "before" and "after" pictures on Facebook, and she was overwhelmed by the response. "'How did you do that? What did you do?' Everyone was asking how they could transform their bodies. So I forwarded them to my Coach. And she just said, 'Seriously, you should be a Coach.'"

Making a Difference, One Person at a Time When Melanie started Coaching, it wasn't about making money. It was focused on helping people get healthy and lose weight in their own homes.

"My first Challenge Group, I invited a bunch of my friends to join, and only one person finished. One! But I didn't get discouraged. With each new Group, there were more and more successful finishers." Learning from each experience, Melanie refined her techniques and is now running a whopping7 Challenge Groups at once.

"There's the Train Insane INSANITY Group, or as some members call it, Train Insane or Remain the Same. Then I have a P90X® and P90X2® group. I have a TurboFire® group for my sorority sisters because we all love to dance. The Battle of the Bulge group is for my moms trying to get back into shape. And my Spring Slim down Challenge and Brazil Butt Lift® Groups are a blast. So yeah, I'm busy." So what's her Challenge Group winning formula?

Like everything else in Melanie's life, she attributes her success to setting a goal and doing everything in her power to achieve it. Different Ways to Inspire Challenge Group Members "I post a new question every day during the 90-day challenge. I also started Mindset Mondays, where I post a video focusing on different topics each week. It's how I connect with my Groups and see how they're feeling, emotionally and physically." having her team members succeed. "I match everyone with an accountability partner, someone they can bounce ideas off of and motivate. I get them to post pictures of their food, their meal plans, their grocery lists. I found connecting people keeps them committed." Challenge Packs Change Everything By creating more Challenge Groups,

Melanie has been able to sell more Challenge Packs and ultimately, grow her business beyond her wildest dreams. "Business shot up 600%. But most importantly, people are graduating from my Groups with some amazing 'before' and 'after' bodies." Just 8 weeks after selling Challenge Packs, Melanie became a Diamond Coach. She chalks it up to a healthy dose of commitment, determination, and good old fashioned hard work. "You've got to work at it. That's why I do something every day. Blog post, email, video, whatever. I'm always looking for new ways to improve what I do." She also stresses the importance of finding your own specific market. For Melanie, that means using her personal experiences to help other women.

"Everyone needs to find their niche. I'm a mom, so I write a lot of about what I'm doing to improve my life, like finding new ways to feed my family healthy meals. It helps create a closer personal connection with your customers." My Way of Finding More People Recruiting new members for a Challenge Group can, well . . . be a challenge. For Melanie, it's no exception. So when it came to extending her network and meeting more prospects, she follows her cardinal rule, Never Say No. "Anytime somebody asks me to a party, event, whatever it is—I say YES, because you never know when there'll be an opportunity to talk about what you do. It's a nice segue into talking about the programs." She brings this same savvy thinking to marketing her Challenge Groups online.

"I use a lot of social media. I used to email people and ask around, but now that my name's getting out there, all I have to do is post a new Challenge Group on Facebook, and I have 5people eager to get started." But Melanie is the type of Coach who doesn't just talk the talk; she really does practice what she preaches. "I'm always doing a Beachbody program. I'm always posting my workouts on Facebook. I'm sharing what I eat. This way it's always in people's minds that this is what I do constantly." By using her own results, she can help her customers work through their initial hesitations, whether it's time, money, or any other anxiety that's standing in their way. "If people are interested in the Group, I try to speak to them on the phone. When they hear how passionate I am, people realize that I can help them. I lost 30 pounds on these programs. They can find success too." Casual Conversations Sell Challenge Packs By simply talking to people, Melanie has successfully sold almost 50 Challenge Packs and in turn had many happy graduates. Now these graduates are becoming Coaches themselves, using Melanie's training techniques to help their own customers succeed. "By the third month of the Challenge, you can see the people who are motivated. They kind of lead the group. Actually, they almost take over. Those are the people I approach about Coaching, because I can see they naturally have that in them. It's good for them. Good for me. And it's just one of the ways I continue to grow."

Melanie also has regular check-ins with her up-line Coach Nikki and Nikki's up-line Katie. The three of them work together by texting, sharing a private Facebook group, and meeting in person at least once a month to share new ideas and support each other. "We're the best of friends, and that's been instrumental in my success." It's a support system that reaches beyond their professional lives into their personal goals as well. "We text each other when we wake up and work out. We send each other accountability pictures. We set goals for each other as Coaches and push each other to meet them. We even made dream boards together outlining our 2012 vision." Being the powerhouse she is, Melanie won't just meet those goals—she'll crush them.

Must Do's For Beachbody Coaches

Some must do's for Independent Team Beachbody Coaches are listed below.

Facebook is a great place to recruit new customers, run challenge groups and just generally promote your fitness coach business. (http://www.facebook.com/teachersfitclub/)

2. Open a Twitter Account and start following fitness groups.  Build up followers and share your Beachbody experience with them.

3. Start a Google + Profile and gain followers, share your Beachbody success.  Tell others about the Beachbody business opportunity.

4. Build your own Website and give your Beachbody Team a home and a team brand.  You can either pay for a website to be built, or use a free site like Wix.com to build a website.

5. Start a Blog to keep your clients and potential clients up to date on the latest Beachbody fitness news.  Don't forget to enable a blog rss feed and submit it to feedburner.com.

6. Order business cards.  You will need something to give potential clients when you are talking to them in person.  Make sure the card has your website, either your personal one (http://www.teachersfitclub.com) or your teambeachbody website (http://www.beachbodycoach.com/ssauder/).

7. Have sample packets of Shakeology to give out to interested people.  The best way to get someone to buy a food or beverage is to let them try it first.  Make sure you recommend some good recipes.

Do's and Don'ts of being a Team Beachbody Coach

POLICIES & PROCEDURES (P&P) / COMP PLAN MOST COMMON “DO’S”

1) Websites: Coaches are permitted to develop their own websites to promote and market Beachbody products if they choose to not utilize the replicated website provided by the Company. Coaches must submit these personally developed sites to Beachbody Compliance for review/approval to ensure that all policies are adhered to (Section 3.2.2 of the P&P). Critical areas of compliance include proper use of income and product claims, minimum pricing, discounts and giveaways.

2) Independent Contractor Status: Beachbody Coaches are independent distributors, not employees of the Company. Accordingly, Coaches must always identify themselves as an “Independent Team Beachbody Coach” or “Independent Beachbody Coach” on websites, business cards and any other marketing materials to prevent confusion regarding the relationship between the Coach and the Company when conducting their Beachbody business (Section 3.16).

3) Commercial Outlets: While Coaches are strongly encouraged to retail and sell the Beachbody products and services through direct contact, Coaches may only display and sell products in retail or service establishments which sell or provide services to private clientele, such as gyms, workout studios and doctors’ offices. Retail establishments such as malls, kiosks, public retail stores, discount buying clubs and restaurants are prohibited. Fitness instructors or trainers may also be Beachbody Coaches, but may not use the Beachbody workout programs as part of their gym programs. For instance, a trainer can provide “plyometrics inspired” exercises but cannot provide “P90X inspired” exercises (Section 3.7).

4) Trade Shows/Expos: Coaches are welcome to participate in trade shows, Expos and other similar forums. Before submitting any deposit for their participation, Coaches are encouraged to contact Compliance in writing with the event details to obtain further approvals. Any Coach created advertising or marketing materials must be submitted by email to the Compliance department (compliance@beachbody.com) for approval prior to the event. (Section 3.8).

5) Blogs and Social Networking sites: Coaches are permitted to advertise the Team Beachbody business opportunity and discuss their journey on personal blogs and social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, but must always identify themselves as an Independent Team Beachbody Coach when doing so. Advertising on blogs and social networking sites must follow the advertising rules as noted in the P&P. Coaches are NOT permitted to sell Beachbody products via online auction sites or social networking sites, but may use links to refer product sales to their Coach or personal websites (Section 3.32).

6) Message Boards: Utilizing the Message Boards to support members with their fitness goals is highly recommended. Coaches have flexibility on the ways they deem supportive, from simple words of encouragement to friendly internal challenges – Section 3.2.7 of the P&P and the Posting Guidelines located directly on the Message Board site provides the specific rules governing the use of the Boards.

7) Marketing/Promotional Materials: There are numerous resources available on the Team Beachbody website (located within the Coach Resource Center) for Coaches to download and use for their business activities. Coaches are also permitted to develop their own promotional materials but must obtain prior approval from Compliance before distributing such materials (Section 3.2.1).

POLICIES & PROCEDURES (P&P) / COMPENSATION PLAN MOST COMMON “DON’TS”

1) Online Marketplaces: Coaches are expressly prohibited from selling Beachbody products on online marketplaces, which include eBay, Amazon, iOffer, Craigslist and other similar sites (Section 3.32).

2) Keywords: Exhibit A of the Policies and Procedures (P&P) lists Beachbody Company and Product names which are expressly prohibited for use by any Coach in keywords, URL domain names, usernames and other Internet Search Engine optimization, including meta tag keywords. Any confusingly similar variations of these keywords (such as PX90 rather than P90X) are similarly prohibited (Section 3.2.3).

3) Product Pricing: Coaches are not permitted to sell or advertise products below the published retail price. Any additional discounting or incentives, such as free or reduced shipping charges, are similarly prohibited unless offered directly by Beachbody (Section 5.2). The current Team Beachbody price list and product catalog may be found in the Coaches Online Office.

4) Income Claims: When making income claims, Coaches must always include the Income Claim Statement which is a disclaimer regarding any income claims or references, and ANY claims of guaranteed income are expressly prohibited. The Income Claim Statement can be found in Section 3.6.3 of the P&P. In addition, when making income claims, Coaches must direct customers to the Statement of Independent Coach Earnings, the most current version of which is located at www.teambeachbody.com/incomechart.pdf. As the FTC and several states have specific laws and regulations regarding income claims and testimonials, it is MANDATORY that Coaches comply with this policy as failure to do so not only violates Company policy but also violates federal and state regulations.

5) Message Boards: The Boards were developed for the sole purpose of supporting the member community. Accordingly Coaches are not allowed to recruit members in any manner, including telling members to contact them offline (Section 3.2.7). Similarly the WOWY Cool Down chat room is to be used for the motivation and support of fellow fitness members. Any recruiting or solicitation is therefore strictly prohibited.

6) International Marketing: Coaches are permitted to register as a Beachbody Coach and offer and sell Beachbody products in only those countries for which the Company is approved to conduct business, which currently is only the United States (Section 3.18). Although Beachbody is currently in the process of registering for Canada operations, until it secures Canadian approval, NO Canadian Coach activity, including registration, is permitted in any manner.

7) Commercial Outlets: While Coaches are strongly encouraged to retail and sell the Beachbody products and services through direct contact, Coaches can display and sell products in retail or service establishments solely which sell or provide services to private clientele, such as gyms, workout studios and doctors’ offices. Coaches are not permitted to conduct sales of Beachbody products out of mall stores, kiosks, food establishments, discount or buying clubs, or any other general public retail or commercial outlets (Section 3.7).

8) Return of Drop Shipped Product: When Coaches choose to drop ship to a customer, (Coaches who take payment from customers directly and then purchase product from Beachbody and have the product sent directly to the customer from Beachbody’s warehouse), they act as the direct selling entity and therefore must provide all direct customer service, including returns, for such orders (Section 9.3).

9) NonSolicitation: Coaches are free to participate in other multilevel or network marketing business opportunities. However, Coaches are not permitted to recruit Beachbody Coaches or customers for any other business. Similarly, Beachbody Coaches cannot market or sell non‐Beachbody products to Beachbody Coaches or customers, nor can Coaches market Beachbody products alongside non‐Beachbody products on websites or other Coach advertisement (Section 3.9.1).
This FAQ provides only a summary of important points of the Beachbody Coach Policies & Procedures.

Please review the complete Policies & Procedures in its entirety (http://images.beachbody.com/tbb/pdf/comp_plan.pdf) in order to maintain your compliance as an Independent Team Beachbody Coach. For any submissions, questions or to report any compliance violations, please contact Compliance directly any time at compliance@beachbody.com

Niche Markets for Independent Team BeachBody Coaches

Niche: The situation in which a business's products or services can succeed by being sold to a particular kind or group of people. (merriam-webster.com

Niche market examples are "Stay at home moms looking to get back in shape" or "Military Wives Looking to Stay Fit".

What is YOUR niche market?  Who do you personally relate too the most?  Those are who your videos, your blog, your like page, tweets, etc etc should reach out to.  Tailor your marketing efforts to those individuals that are in your niche market.

So, for example, if your niche market is "Busy Moms" then create videos with titles and themes of "How a Busy Mom can workout and get fit, with kids in the house" or "A busy moms guide to eating healthy on a budget" and in the description of the video make sure you repeat some of that title, some of the information and then a course of action. You have to tell people what to do: "Click the link to become a CLUB member with Meal planner and shopping lists" or "Click the link to order 10 minute trainer and get started TODAY"

Create a blog, start a facebook page, open a twitter account, Join Google + and make sure they all link together. Each post or tweet you should include links to direct people to your Beachbody coach website to signup and purchase products or to other pages on your blog or facebook page.

All of the content in your posts and tweets should be related to your niche market.  For example if you are targeting busy stay at home moms talk about how PiYo is only 30 minutes a day.  Something they could do during nap time.
